Okay well I am new so if this is the wrong spot.. OOps. Okay I have a question I have asked on a few fourms but have not got any help .. go figure
Here is my questions.. does anyone (besides me) run vista? If so do you have problems? If so let me know .. My msn is steph0licious@hotmail.com I have had my INI tweeked a little ( The basic INI does work right at all with vista ):othat helped on a couple servers but not on all so I had another person mess with it and fixed the orgional problem but I felt as if I was crouched trying to run.

i have problems on my laptop and it runs vista. The server query always shows servers as dead, and the core2 duo makes it seem all slow and sometimes i get stuck in the air.

I have a delay when firing. I do not know if any of you have played with me on TKK but if we ever 1 vs1 I die. I have a 3 second delay on shooting.. On the FUN server it has been wacked out! i am geting very frusterated and have gotten so mad I uninstalled.. Yes just to reinstall.. Oh well..

you can turn a processor off to correct this problem, if it is a duo core problem. Talk to draco as i have never attempted to turn a processor off before. Damn newer computers are just too good !

Here you go. I think this is the unrealtournament.exe that was written to correct the dual core issue. Just back up your unrealtournament.exe and replace it with this one. Once you have the new one in place, right click on it and select properties. Open the compatibility tab and change it to any other operating system. Windows2000 seems to run best. It should fix your problems. Also, with it being Vista, you need to make sure that you are running the game as an admin on the machine. Have a good one.

I also have a serious lag problem when playing on the FUN server. It isn't there all the time, but when it is I'm just frustrared to death (and fragged too ;-)

My lag time is about 1 to 2 seconds. So I aim, press the fire button, and nothing happens for a while. By that time the kill opportunity is gone or the sucker has killed me. LOL.

I don't think it has anything to do with dual core, or vista. I'm still using WinXP, and my desktop is a dual CPU workstation.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this lag since it kills my game.

I too have the same problem. Tis called "Shitty Intraweb Syndrome."

Also try doing a spy and adaware sweep. You could be having someone fuck with you oh so slightly. Enjoy!

Kinda sounds what was happeneing to me with good ol' vista .. now that a have gone back to xp. Mine seems to have cleared up. I know my INI file I am using is still the one that an OMA member changed for me while I used xp.
