Introduction

[The Gynecologist]

Hi everyone,

First, I want to say this is the best gaming site (servor) I've found. And I've been playing since the early 80s. I played UT back when it first came out. Then moved on to other games. I purchased a new copy of UT about 2 months ago and re-discoverd what a great game it really is. It's about all I play anymore. I'm still learning and getting used to everything.....so please be gentle.

Second, I am a real MD (gynecologist) in case some of you were wondering why I use the strange username. I'm a former Army Medevac pilot (UH-60s), but decided to go to med school after a bad crash duing the Gulf War (ended my flying career). I'm an Arizona native and I consider Flagstaff home.

Very cool and welcome. Played you lots on our server and really enjoy the competition. I'm glad to hear that you are indeed a Gynecologist. I think we all figured that it was some kid somewhere that really had no idea what one was. I know I made a few remarks about Pelvics and the such in the beginning.

You will find that the majority of the [FUN] clan are 30-50 somethings who just enjoy playing and hanging out with one another in TeamSpeak. If you have never used TS, you are missing out. It's a Voice Chat program that uses the same technology as Digital phone and it adds a whole new element to the game. It's really fun to hear the person cussing when you score the headshot on them. You just need a mic and the software (http://teamspeak.com/?page=downloads) to join us in TS.

Thanks for the introduction and the compliments. You asked that we take it easy on you...may I ask the same? :o You are definitely a force to be reckoned with, and it's a pleasure to play with you.

BTW...I'm a doll collector and I do a small amount of minor restoration...hence my name. I'm married to XZQTIONER...I drive him crazy enough that he wants to kill me sometimes...hence his name. ;)

I was kinda surprised to realize that [FUN] is mostly 30-50 somethings... I'm at the upper end of that range, and never considered joining a gaming clan until I found *this* one. Frankly, I just didn't want to have to deal with kids who have skills but no social graces, i.e., for most of 'em, it's all about the kill and taunting rather than encouraging those who don't play at that level. The "young-uns" in this clan are a bit more mature in that respect, and if *I* can stand to play with 'em, *anyone* can hyst. (Hi, Fizzle...)
