Anyone else notice where D_D scored his new avatar and sig pics :D? Yeah, I'll admit to having spent $8 to catch a matinee performance (You'll laugh!! You'll cry!! You'll kiss $8 good-bye!!). In all seriousness, if'n anyone wants to check out a 50 cal sniper rifle in action, that might just be the one good reason to see Sly do the Rambo thing one more time. Dunno how real the depictions are, but I have no trouble believing a 50 cal round can produce that kind of result for a head-shot.

yeah me either.. the gun play is enough to justify the money spent.. in all actuality, the avatar choice was insired by yours.. i wanna say urs is from the ghost in the shell series, but now that i look at it, it could be girls bravo i think the name of the anime was.. any idea?? and here are the different ones that i made from it...

No tellin' what inspired mine. I was simply out looking for a sniper avatar when I found the one I'm using miscategorized on avatars.jurko.net. Originally uploaded to that site by "Guest" on 6/28/2006. Had to massage it a bit to get the size down to fit within the forum limits, but the end result didn't suffer too much compared with the original. If anyone knows the inspiration/source of the artwork, I think there are at least two of us interested in that info...

Reckon I'm gonna have to buy a few episodes and have a look-see. As for "jurko", yeah, the site doesn't have any real organization to it that I can determine. You can do a search for the avatar title as given when it was uploaded, but that's pretty much it. You find the Gunslinger Girl avatar with a search for (duh!) "gun," which is why I claim a miscategorization. A search for the more specific "sniper" gets you the kitten with the sniper rifle avatar (among others) used by one of the other forum members.

Used the on-line tool at http://www.gifworks.com to do the colormap reduction as well as reduce height and width to forum standards.

dont worry about your avatar man.. i love it.. so i fixed it so it can be seen in actuall size with no downgrading.. also.. i use gif construction set pro 3, ulead gif animator 5 and then photoshop to do all of mine(not in any certain order or combination of).. if you need anythinf let me know and i will see what i can do to get them to you...

I'm thinking a .50 cal rifle could do that. You've got to remember that the Geneva Convention has forbidden use of a .50 cal sniper round on human targets probably for this reason. They are considered Long-Range 'anti-material' weapons. The Geneva Convention also requires that the worlds armies use only full-metal jacketed rounds so that the wounds are only clean little holes instead of lead that mushrooms out leaving huge messes.

I liked this movie. It was probably my favorite of the Rambo movies. He wasn't 'super-human' in this one like he was made out to be in the first 3. A warning to the weak stomached, this is definitely a gory, bloody movie. Have a good one.
