[FUN] is fun....sorta

I just got into the whole FUN freestyle server thanks to some friend here at college. We all hang out in between Classes and play.
The only problem is how many people still manage to cheat on a "protected" server, some even have the [Fun] tag. And it drive my friends crazy.

For example. We where having a great time on Dogtown vs (something) city and this one player kept flying, not jumping and teleporting but actual flying, up to the tallest building and sniping every one. After finally managing to get up there the four of us managed to kill her. Then we took up defense postions around the sides and in the matter of a few second from the time she was killed she managed to preform a telefrag headshot on our Leader from the ground on the oppisite side of the map.

Why isn't anyone doing something about it?

Although i am not fun clan some more input would be very helpful. What was the players name? Date and time would be helpful also, although who keeps track of the times and dates they play. In situations like this, a time and date helps in searching the logs for any needed input.

Bwahahaha! There is a style of xlocing is called "flying". Many know how to do this. To the most common observer it looks like the person is flying around a map. If you can find me, I can show you how to do this.

You would be surprised how few people actually cheat. They don't come around often but are blatantly obvious when they do show up. 40-0 kills in under 2 minutes on huge camping maps which is impossible.

All members get scanned for cheats just as the guests do. No member of [FUN]has ever been busted. If a member is caught cheating, they are kicked from the clan and banned from anything and everything to do with the clan. A notice is sent out to all the clans on my list with apologies and the IP info for the offending player.

As Badmotor said, this is nothing new. It's just good Xloc ability that has taken many hours to perfect. The way of doing it is easy in theory, but a bitch in practice. To the veterans, it's everyday playing. To noobs, it could look like someone was 'Hacking'. BTW, there is no hack to be able to make you trans better. If there is, please send me the info because I would love to have it. It would definitely help me stop from being the leading suicide leader on my server.

It's a 'No-Rulz freestyle Sniper server'. Campers camp and runners run. Some players are deadly accurate and others spray and pray. Although it is 'No-Rules', it's frowned upon to team-up in deathmatch. There is no such thing as a Telefrag head-shot. Your buddy just got bitch-slapped with a nice hot piece of lead.

Trust me when I say that I hate cheaters. I have done my hardest to stop cheaters on our servers. Guess what? It works. Your friend was the first positive on our anti-cheat protection in 3 weeks. He was the first one actually stupid enough to try to activate a cheat on our server in 3 months. Most of the time, ASH picks up the bots but shows they were just installed and not running. When your friend tried activating ElfBot, ASH detected the trigger and re-wrote your buddies User.ini to say '[FUN]Clan Cheat Protection has nailed me. Please report me to funclanadmin@funclansnipers.com'. If ASH had let him stay in-game instead of booting him, he would have been stripped of his ability to get frags because ASH would have protected all the other players from the hacker and announced it to them.

EPIC is dead serious about this. Why people think they should cheat even with a very real risk like this is beyond me?

The anti-cheat we use does re-write your User.ini. Guess what? It's legal. You consented to this when you installed the game and played on a public server. It's a basic function of the game. Now please let's drop the subject because I've decided that I won't report the cheat logs to EPIC. I figure everyone deserves forgiveness from time-to-time but he is still banned. Have a good one.

Here is a post made by one of our newest members who came in during the last recruitment graduation a few weeks back. I'm going to repost it here in this thread.

Call me somewhat biased, but from personal experience, I believe earnestly you would be hard pressed to find a nicer group of folks to game with. Welcome!

Tore me up pretty good when I saw the accusations in another thread concerning the possibility of clan members cheating... I've had my arse handed to me on a number of occasions by both skilled players and cheaters. Suffice it to say, I can tell the difference. As Draco has said, respect is key. Haven't met the [FUN] member who won't show you a map's secrets if you ask nicely *and* the person you ask knows about them :). Another thing: no cheater is going to patiently explain to you how you screwed up in your game play, because if they try, you'll know it's b.s.

[FUN] has some monster players. I'm not one of them. Might become one if I adopt your name as my life philosophy hyst.

Wow that is so childish Im not even gonna dignafy it with a "go fuck your self". See how even the smallest member of our team could pick you up buy your skull with one hand. So I would suggest you put down the video games and go help your mother wash the dishs, take out the trash, do you homework and worry about how your going to pass highschool english.
