I think you may have a problem. ATI and NVidia Both stopped making AGP compatible cards in 2007. This means that Nvidia 8000 series cards do not have AGP. I don't know about ATI. You might be able to hunt down a 7000 series card that should at least run COD4. Talk to you later and happy hunting.

P.S. Chef should be around tonight, I think. He is the computer Monster-Genius and will probably know the best solution for you.

You might have to go to Nvidia they have a 6800 that is more than the game requires.Where ATI I think is maxed out at 9800.But I don't know I only use Nvidia Cards.......Never had a problem with them ever..........

Hellraiser, the Nvidia 7800GS is going to be your best bet. Personally I prefer Nvidia chipsets over the ATI, less driver and software conflicts, more reliable as well. Hope this helps.....Also everything on the graphics side is going PCI-E..SLI for Nvidia, Crossfire for ATI running the dual cards.

Another option... http://www.sa-pc.com has AGP video cards. A similar store up the road in Austin (with a much better web site) is http://www.discountelectronics.com.

A quick check there shows a NVIDIA Albatron GeForce FX5200 128MB DDR with DVI for $59.

I could hit the San Antonio store for you if mail-order doesn't pan out.
