Hey, can anyone help me with a little project ....
I would like to create a point of view or a camera in UT and place it somewhere in a map. If that is possible.

Its in actor class. I have a tutorial that covers this. Its basicly the same as making a skybox. Ill send you the tutorial when I have time!

Yes this is possible, it's an actor under your "pawn>playerpawns" category called a "camera" Throw one of those into your map. It will look like a floating, blue eyeball. If you open its properties, you can go into the property "events" and change its tag to something unique (i.e. cam1). Now if you put a trigger, under the actor category "triggers" named "trigger" (do not open its child actors, use the parent actor titled "trigger"), into your map (such as in front of a T.V. screen) you can set its trigger event to "cam1" (or whatever your camera is named). This will make it so that whenever your player enters this 'trigger zone' your view will become where the camera is facing. You can adjust the direction in which the camera is facing by clicking anywhere in the GRAY TAB on any viewport (click directly to the right of the name of the tab, i.e. "top", "front", "side" and "textured/unlit") and going to the category "view" and selecting "show paths". This will make it so that in the viewports you enabled it in (most helpful in the "top" viewport) a little arrow will be pointing out of your camera actor. Rotating the camera like a normal actor/brush will allow you to adjust the direction in which the camera is pointing. To see a preview of the area of space the trigger of the camera is taking up, click the gray tab on your viewports again and go to the category "actor views" and click "radii view". That lets you see 'boundaries' and 'space' used around your actors.
pics are coming soon to help.

Why couldn't they have just put the options --
"Put a wall here"
"put a ceiling here"
"Put guns here"
gl hf.
And of course, for the camping community ---
"Create a building that is identical to every other building in every other map but with a different default texture that is 1x1 and repeats a thousand times up the building wall and 5000 windows, then copy this building for the maximum allowed work space available in unrealed."

ahahahah.... if you mapped Ziggy, you'd known that you can scale up the textures so that in one of those annoying (and they honestly ARE annoying) camping maps so that it's just one GIANT brick instead of 20000 :D and it's a lot easier than how you said it actually, instead of
"Put a wall here"
"put a ceiling here"
"Put guns here"
it's actually
"add one room all at once"
"hold down the 'a' key and click for where you want to place guns"
Besides, he wanted to know how to put a camera spot in the map. A whole different case than just simply adding walls and guns. Which is both easier and harder than it sounds. Easier as in the making of the structures and difficult as in trying to get them to flow correctly with the correct lighting and room sizes that allow players to subconsciously decide where they will move based on the design of the map and other cues such as audio and lighting effects so that players don't have to take more than a second deciding where they will move to next.

That's what I'm busy working on right now. And yes, I am in fact rocking the Xan skin in those screenshots. If we could have a [FUN] version to that skin I think I'd be complete.

That's actually how I spelt it before, then changed it Draco... As punishment for my mistake, for the next month I will replace all "single a's" in words with "aa".
Staarting Now.
