lol. the euro's arent voting it high because, whilst very good, its not overly amazing and certainly nothing that any of the other players on both teams could do (damage amp, all defenders already weakened from his numerous previous attempts already, plus no spawnprotect so the long distance kills were on essentially sitting ducks). that said it is very impressive none-the-less and something there is no way I could do :D

True, true. And it's not like you can say that they couldn't see him or some crap like that, they were all in the same room... How could you have 4 people shooting a 1 person that has to sit down and stop to shoot every other player and no one kill him.
Like I've always said, if you got a problem with he spawn, then shut up and don't spawn :D
lol. like i say it is impressive. but any one of those players on both sides could have done it if they had the damage amp and all the defenders were weak from the 5 previous unsuccessful attempts at doing the exact same thing. you say, why not shoot him, but he had max health, max armor, ping advantage and damage amp. as the guys say, anyone of the players playing could have done it with all that in their favour.
am not saying it isnt a good killing spree because it is. i for one am not good enough to do it. but its hardly the worlds greatest move or neessarily worthy of a youtube clip. its not as amazing or unique as everyone is making out. i've seen half that EU team do the same without the need for damage amp, max armor and damage amp, thats all.

Key words *COULD* *IF* We do it with out damage amps and keg of heath and the i wana be a Christmas light belt. You guys wanted it on the server, so you got it on the server. And then it's whine whine whine about us using them.
That's funny cause all of them are power up whores, it's a race to see who can get them first. And if we didn't have them, you guys wouldn't have played us.

who is whining about him using the goodies? i appreciate your age FiZZ but surely you can read? I am saying that that particular piece of skill was less impressive because he used the damage amp. its the as someone scoring a 3 pointer from the edge of the arch is less impressive than someone scoring a 3 pointer from their own half. with the damage amp he only needed to land 1 shot on each opponent with a ping advantage. the euro team had to land 8 shots minimum against the ping. yes its a nice move, yes it takes decent skills, no its not the jaw dropping piece of skill that people seem to think it is. and those last two kills would never have happened had you had a proper spawn protect on that is recognised in every camping game. to this day the only reason to have that set at 1 sec was to pick up kills during spawn because you were too scared to let the euros have time to use the spawn protect to get into spots? correct me if i'm wrong but why else would you suddenly only set it at 1 sec? they are impressive shots but still, with a normal camping spawn protect they wouldnt have been there to kill.
i am with you on the deemers though. surely power ups and deemers go together. never understood why one would be on but not the other :s

lol Pub... I don't blame you for mentioning the spawn protect, but, you have no idea what you're talking about to be honest.
This was (supposedly, lmao) a match between the best players in the game... (which it wasn't, but, anyway)... best players in the game know how to, I dunno, trans... avoid getting shot... spawn protect is and always has been a crutch for players who aren't quick enough (When used in anything but camping).
And about the powerups, I was merely pointing out the irony that a euro was mentioning it "only happening due to powerups" when there's only 1 european who is even good without powerups, and no it's not Demeo. Every other one fails miserably without a 100 ping advantage WITH a 200 health advantage.
no the spawn protect isnt a crutch for bad players, its a device to stop people just camping a spawn point and killing essentially defenceless players. with a higher ping that chance gets even lower so to remove the spawn protect is purely an attempt to remove further the chances for higher ping players. any fool can camp in a fairly hidden spot staring at a spawn point and shoot someone coming out of spawn. if i wanted to i could do that, that hardly tests the best players. its just shooting fish in a barrell, not an indication of skill.
and you know thats not true about the euros, if you exaggerated less then maybe your points would be more valid. i admit that there are some members of DoC and euro who are overly reliant on armor etc. but that isn't irony just to pedantic. but correct me if i'm wrong but weren't pick ups part of the old school culture so surely they should be included. deemers should have accompanied the belt though but thats a small point. i'm in favour of armor because they add another dimension to the game. it creates another level of risk v reward in each individuals thinking on how to play each map. it does sometimes mean that some players hide away with them and just camp on the belt - but thats where deemers come in.

Yes powerups are part of the game, the original "oldschool" style... hell.. I'm fine with them to be honest...
I'm not fine with a whiney bunch of terrible players who insist on having them, do nothing but camp on them, and refuse to use redeemers (also a MUST in oldschool)...
And it's not an exageration... there's never been a single good european player who was good without powerups except silver.

lol all i know is at the rumble.....all u guys were doing were hiding in a small room witha ll the powerups.... pretty much hiding like babies.... im not a good player but players like that are nothin but pussies

I'm the same with rok, i was never GOOD at the game, and I don't tell everyone I'm the best that's ever walked the game. That's just retarded. If your not going to try to get kills and hide in a secret or camp a power up or hide like a useless nut, then don't play.
