Right click on the UT directory and select properties. At the bottom, uncheck read-only and select to have it apply to all folders and files in the directory. Try uninstalling then. Have a good one.

Still does not work. I should mention the reason for uninstalling is I cannot connect to any servers. It is added as an exception to my firewall. Any other ideas.

Delete the UnrealTournament.ini and the user.ini and restart the game. You'll have to reconfig everything but if it's an internal issue with the game, this should resolve it. Also there are several ports that have to be forwarded to
play. I place my machine in the router DMZ to avoid problems.

It won't even let me delete ini or user. What do you mean by several ports?

You say it's on your F drive? kinda sounds like windows locked you out. Safe mode is the only thing I can suggest and if it still won't work, you got the option to reformat.

Check if you can become the owner of all files in that directory, Right click the folder then select properties. Then select the second TAB that says security and then click on the button advanced. Then go to the third TAB that says Owner, check if you are the owner there and you can also replace all the permissions on the folder and child folders and files.

Sometimes I have to clean up systems at work and have the same problem, Because soem moron here think he knows what's best to do hyst hyst. And there are folders that are even closed for me as an admin and that is what I always do. If you need any help hit me up on MSN and if needed I can help you out by taking over your system with teamviewer (http://teamviewer.com).
