call them and tell them that you are a server administrator for a server that just moved from dallas to columbus. tell them that you want them to change your route due to severe connection problems during heavy traffic times. and keep calling till they change it. you might have to get threw several levels of tech support, but they should be able to change it.

and im sure my connection just going down the street jumps to at least 2 states and then comes back!!

I was up until 3:30 this morning researching this. It turns out that it is not unique to our server alone. It would appear that the route tables across the US are in complete disarray. It started about 3 weeks ago in small measure and has just gotten worse. The story I got was that Level3 carriers (RoadRunner backbone management company) is actually the one with issues. You can call your ISP and see if they can help. For some reason I think it will be resolved soon enough because there are a lot of unhappy people right now only they don't know why their internet is flaking out and calling tech support anyways. I'll still keep hacking away at it though.

WAIT A GALSH DARN MINUTE!!!! I never complained!!!! I love my ping....NOW, but I had to call and bitch for a while cause they were doing it to me when the server was in dallas. except mine was being throttled after like 6 pm, so my ping would slowly creep up to 400 + and was un playable.
