Looks exactly like the one I got... What's the type?

I believe it will be coming with XP. Since our company is pretty much built on the use of our own specialized software, they always seem to be a few years behind. It's also because we are a life safety company that deals with fire alarm systems. Anything used with or for a fire alarm system must go through a strict as hell UnderWriters Lab approval process that can last up to 18 months to 2 years.

Just the way this laptop sits, it's more than twice what my home computer is. I should be able to try out games like COD:WAW and UT3. The company is also providing me a Verizon Air Card with unlimited usage. THis ought to be fun.

Cool, what kind of air card is that, what frequency is used. Is it for WiMAX or UMTS. I know that the speed here in Europe still is low on those air cards, what speed do you get on that overthere in the US?

And I also thought you had some kind of uber machine at home: hyst!

I got a Latitude E6500 to work on, but it can't keep up with my home desktop when it comes to game-power...

And just so you know: UT3 is a nice game!

I have no clue yet. They are telling me it's faster then the hard-wired office network we use but it probably won't compete with cable or even a fast DSL connection. More when I get them saturday.

My desktop is just a P4ht 3.2 Ghz processor with 2 gigs of RAM and an old ATI 9250 card. Even running this dinosaur, I still pull almost 200 fps a second on UT99, 130 fps on UT2k4, and 100 fps on Quake 3. :D:D:D. I wanna try out UT3 on a decent machine. UT3 ran on my desktop when I had an nVidia 6200 but was limited to the lowest settings and resolution. Not real enjoyable like that.
