Sounds like you have a 'Shortcut to program files' in Start>All Programs>Startup.

Check here as well.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Beyond that, I got nothing...

If there isn't anything there - try looking in the registry;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
Common sense should prevail in that you back up the keys then delete, but only delete the suss ones.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
In the Winlogon case I have found nasty trojans like to bolt themselves on the end of the "Userint" key, an example of what thiis should look like (on XP at least) is "C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe," (without the quotes - and note the comma). Anything on the end e.g. C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,xmdgo.dll or similar view with suspicion.
NEVER delete the entire line - or Windows will not boot and you will need to use ERD Commander or something to re-instate.
