i need help with my pings

my pings are staying high for some reasan i just putt a new sistom on my puter and still ,my pings are high ,i realy need some appenions ,hell im a carpet layer , i know nothing about computers?bluesbluesscared shitless

Go to this thread and DL and install the program.

Type in the IP you want to connect too. Press Ctrl+PrtScn
Open Paint and press Ctrl+V
Save the file as a .jpeg post it here.

Once you do that I can see what I can do to help.

Just so you know what you are doing is called a "Trace Route"

I will explain more later.

Type in the IP to our Halo server. It'll tell you how and what route your computer is taking to connect to the server. If you have a new computer, please make sure that you turn off the windows firewall. You can google it to find out how. Have a good one.

If you know where it is, turn of QoS Packet Scheduler also. But we will get to that, I would like to see your TraceRoute first.

This is what you should be posting. The program that you should of installed should look like that. In the IP section enter the IP of the server you are connecting too. This will allow us to see what your ping range is at each 'hop'

From just what you have right now, I can make some guesses at what some of your problem is but I still need to see a Trace Route.

Also, read through some of these threads. They will help. I would suggest running a speed test as found in the last thread I linked for you and please post it when you ran it. All the information you give us minus your IP will help figure this out.
