I'd be happy if anyone here knew a mapping program for Tactical Ops

Same editor as UT99. From what I remember, it just takes some massaging to get it to work.

Does that mean you can get maps from T-Ops back to UT99 also?

Ah, does that mean that map names should say TO in them instead of DM,CTF,DOM etc?

Yep, you gotta copy the editor folder and the .exe into your TacOps folder just like it appears in your UT folder. From what I remember, you have to open an existing TO map so that all the classes become available before you can start a new map. Each map has to have a SWAT start point and a Terrorists start point with AMMO points.

As far as porting TO maps to UT99, it can be done but it takes a whole lot of work to do it.

I don't seem to have a T ops folder. Maybe because I downloaded the game off a link here?

Hmmmm, Well I've seen several awesome maps in TO that would fit camping for UT.

The main problem is all the textures. Because TacOps is a full blown expansion pack and not just a mod, all the stock files have been heavily altered. Botpack.u, Unreal.u, and UnrealShare.u have all been altered. All the textures and sounds in the TO map would have to be exported and put into a new .uax and .utx and the whole map would then have to be re-textured. Alot of work, but I agree with you that TO definitely has some sweet maps for camping.

As far as for texturing... There are 2 ways you can go about this....Actually catch me on T.S. sometime I'll be able to explain it alot better in person than typing it out,I think I know a way to do it all quick & simple..
