UT 99 Intro Movie Tweak!

For those of you who get uber annoyed with the intro movie to UT99, I found the following a long time ago. This is a pretty straight forward fix.

Please note: Whenever you do any tweaks to any of your .ini files make a back up before you start.



Go into your Unreal Tournament System Folder and find the file: unrealtournament.ini
Open it in notepad or your text editor of choice and look under [URL].
You will see the following

[URL]
Protocol=unreal
ProtocolDescription=Unreal Protocol
Name=Player
Map=Index.unr
LocalMap=CityIntro.unr
Host=
Portal=
MapExt=unr
SaveExt=usa
Port=7777
Class=Botpack.TMale1

Change the LocalMap=CityIntro.unr to read as follows:
LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr


Its just that easy. Dang Skippy!

Man dinos were still around when that fix came out..LOL......I already have done but it is nice to have, gets game loaded quicker..

I did that one awhile back...then reinstalled...and forgot what I had done...thx for posting.

I know there's one that shows the scores only when you keep a button pressed: for instance the F1. Freshly installed you gotta hit it once and the score comes up then hit it again and it goes away again, but with that it only shows aslong as you keep the button pressed. Anyone remember?
