Somehow, we managed a free subscription to TV Guide.
On the cover of the July 23-August 5 issue, it mentioned the show, so I dug feverishly through those pages til I found *ANYTHING* on the show.

This is what it had to say:

JERICHO (Fridays, 9/8c, CBS; new episodes return mid-season) Resurrected from cancellation after an awesome fan campaign, this Armageddon-in-America series "will really kick ass when it returns" promises executive producer Carol Barbee. "We have a seven-episode pick-up, but it'll be potent - the equilalent of 22 episodes." Last May's finale ended with the citizens of Jericho defending their town in a gun battle. Next season, "the American flag comes down and is replaced by the flag of the new Cheyenne government - that's the 21 states west of the Mississippi minus Texas, which as not signed on, " says Barbee. "Electricity, cell phones and TV are restored, and we will finally find out who bombed us." Season 2 , she adds, "is all about what's happening on the national level in the aftermath of the disaster and how it affects our people in Jericho. Then we move on to the rest of the world."

Looking at the CBS website, I am seeing that this Friday is a replay of Edisode 14. So, my original post crossed info.... there WILL be a season 2, but new episodes will not air til mid season.

yeah, thats what i kept coming up with.. they mention it could be as soon as i think it was october or beginning of 2008 at hte end of mid break for other shows.. there are so many diff posts it is hard to tell.. but yes, it is gonna resurect itself.. i think the rerun eps started like the 6th of july, and i was hoping that when they were done airing that they would start the new season... :D :D :D

wasnt it that he said those petitions are pointless?? eitherway, i think it was nightwalker that had posted shortly b4 certain things happened, that the show was coming back.. i have been trying to follow it from time to time to see about updates, but nothing certain as of yet...

What, if anything, have you found out on the Dresden Files? It looks as though TDF may also be resurrected, however, no official word as of yet that I've found.

After months of fielding questions from fans desperate to know if Sci Fi was ever going to make a decision on the fate of its clever private-eye/fantasy hybrid The Dresden Files, it's official: The show isn't returning for a second season.

A shame, but hardly a surprise, given the reticence to discuss the matter every time I brought it up to Sci Fi or NBC Universal Cable execs during the recent TCA press tour. In their world, it's all about "running the numbers" (in other words: looking at the ratings and budgets, etc.) and to them, Dresden just didn't seem to measure up.

This confirmation came my way the same morning that there are reports in the trades that Paul Blackthorne, Dresden's very appealing star, has joined the cast of ABC's Big Shots in a recurring role as what's being described as the show's "fifth CEO... a sophisticated, iconic tycoon that the [other] four (Dylan McDermott, Michael Vartan, Christopher Titus, Joshua Malina) aspire to be."

At least he's landed on his feet. Harry Dresden would be proud.

Those bastard! :(

Sure blame the ratings, they Sci Fi would rather waste their time on ECW (ew).
