I just watched Michael Moore's 'SiCKO'. This documentary is truly a kick to the face in terms of getting your attention! This shows you the greed and corruption that modern-day America lives with in regards to our government. We have every level of healthcare sticking it to the average citizen and the president is willing to ignore it all for only $900,000.

Being the father to 2 special needs kids, I know the expense. It would cost at-least $1000 a month to make sure my kids get the medications they must have. In England, $10 for the same medication. I really need to talk to some of our Canadian friends about their experiences with life in general. There may be a new immigrant family coming to stay.

Our government has the volunteers bending over and taking it hard because they weren't invited to come help search for victims at the WTC. That shows just how chicken-shit our honorable, elected officials are.:pink:

I really hate to think that this form of government is failing us. Our population is booming and we are living a lot longer these days. I don't think our healthcare system was ever designed to handle it. I think my rant is over.

**I wonder what the requirements are to become a citizen of Canada?**

It's interesting that you ask that, Bebe. My entire life I've been told that that would happen if not in my lifetime, my kids lifetime. I've always been told that the beauty of being American is that we can change anything by these same people who spoke of revolution. I'm willing to give our form of government every chance in the world because it made this country the most powerful to ever exist.

Wow! I might end up watching that. Are we moving to Canada tho?!? :D

I like to dream. Your mother would most surely tell me to kiss her ass. She is isn't a fan of the extreme cold because she grew up in it. When you were about 5, I got an excellent offer to move to Saint Paul, Minnesota. Your mother flat out told me not to even think about taking the job or there would be hell to pay.:eek::eek:

P.S. As soft hearted as you are, Macey, this movie will make you sob like a baby.

There is a huge population that feels the same way you do about Moore. I can honestly say that this film isn't so much about Democrats, Republicans, and conspiracies. This film highlights where American Government went completely wrong on healthcare and allowing HMO's to take over. It shows how politicians have sold-out. It also highlights where, in the beginning, Hillary Clinton tried to make a change but ended up selling out to the healthcare industry. I'm guessing she sold-out about the time she recognized that she would be pursuing a political career and couldn't go anywhere without the support of one of the biggest industries in the world. I say forget that it is a Moore film and watch it anyways. Even though he has said things in the past that are hard to swallow for some Americans, he has hit the nail on the head with this one. This one shows the evils on a subject that affect all of us equally no matter what our political beliefs may be. Have a good one.
